Hello Everyone!
I'm Douglas Nyback
After graduating from theatre school in New York City, I jumped into film and TV—only to realize I had zero on-camera training. Casting kept saying I was 'too big,' or that my work needed to be 'smaller.' It rattled me.
Through trial by fire, on-set experience, and guidance from phenomenal mentors, I figured it out—and built a career on all sides of the camera. I've coached actors to success on shows like Netflix’s Painkiller, Amazon's The Boys, and Apple TV's The Studio, served as on-set coach for American Gods and Run the Burbs (Season 3), and produced features like Manodrome starring Jesse Eisenberg and Adrien Brody.
Currently, I appear in Doc (FOX), and I bring every ounce of that comprehensive experience to this course. Whether you're new to the camera or stuck in callback limbo, I’ll help you create grounded, bookable work that stands out and books.
